Precautions: Severe renal insufficiency, infectious mononucleosis, asthma ADR: Serious: bone marrow depression, hepatitis, pseudomembranous colitis, interstitial nephritis, seizures, anaphylaxis, hypersensitivity, SJS, TEN, urticaria, erythema multiforme, superinfections, blood disorders, crystalluria, Others: agitation, anxiety, confusion, dizziness, headache, insomnia, lethargy, hallucinations, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, gastritis, black hairy tongue, enterocolitis DDI: Serious Typhoid vaccine efficacy reduces, Allopurinol enhances potential for allergic/hypersensitivity reactions of drug, Mycophenolate Impaired enterohepatic recirculation, Coumarins increased PT & bleeding, Probenecid increases drug concentration, Methotrexate leads to acute toxicity, Fusidic acid/BCG therapeutic effects are reduces, Tetracyclines therapeutic efficacy is reduced Diet: With/without food Monitor: Renal functions, LFTs, CBC, signs of anaphylaxis |
