Indications & Dose: SCHIZOPHRENIA PO Adult Initially 1mg BID, max 24mg/day. May be increase the dose in increments of 2mg q 24hrs on day 2-7 |
| Contra: Hypersensitivity, drugs that prolong Qtc interval
Precautions: hepatic impairment, cardiovascular disease, DM/other disorders of glucose regulation, history of seizures ADR: Serious: extrapyramidal symptoms, arthralgia, stiffness, muscle spasm, myalgia, blurred vision, conjunctivitis, tachycardia, orthostatic hypotension, URTI, erectile dysfunction, ejaculation failure, Others: fatigue, nasal congestion, tremor, nausea, weight gain, abdominal discomfort, xerostomia DDI: Others Chloroquine/Alfuzosin/Ciprofloxacin/Lithium increases iloperidone levels/effects, MAOIs/Amphetamine levels decreases, CNS Depressants/Alcohol/Drugs that prolong QT interval/Methylphenidate/Quinine/Tetrabenazine levels increases Diet: With/without food Monitor: Vital signs, fasting blood glucose, CBC,orthostatic blood pressure changes, se k & Mg levels, signs & symptoms of cardiac arrhythmia & hyperglycemia |
