Indications & Dose: AMENORRHEA PO Adult 400mg every evening 10 days | IM Adult 5-10mg/day 6-8 consecutive days | ASSISTED REPRODUCTIVE TECHNOLOGIES VAG Adult 90mg Gel OD, if pregnancy occurs continue treatment for 10-12 wk in women requiring progesterone supplementation | VAG Adult 90mg Gel BID, if pregnancy occurs continue treatment for 10-12 wk in women with partial/complete ovarian failure | VAG Adult 100mg BID/TID starting at oocyte retrieval & continue for 10 wk | ENDOMETRIAL HYPERPLASIA Prophylactic therapy PO Adult 200mg/day single dose every evening for 12 days sequentially per 28day cycle in postmenopausal women with a uterus who are on conjugated estrogen treatment | FUNCTIONAL UTERINE BLEEDING IM Adult 5-10mg/day for 6 doses | SECONDARY AMENORRHEA VAG Adult 6 doses of 45mg Gel every other day, if no response prefer 90mg

Contra: hypersensitivity, venous thromboembolic disorders, CVD, history of known/suspected carcinoma of breast/genital organs, severe hepatic disease, missed abortion, undiagnosed vaginal bleeding, diagnosis of pregnancy test, porphyria

Precautions: Respiratory infect, history of depression, epilepsy, migraine, renal disease, DM, fluid retention patients, asthma

ADR: Serious: thromboembolism, virilisation of female fetus, cholestatic jaundice, premenstrual syndrome-like symptoms, anaphylaxis, hirsutism, gynecomastia, cerebral edema, amenorrhea, Others: GI disturbances, allergic skin rashes, fluid retention, edema, urticaria, mental depression, fatigue, drowsiness, fever, changes in libido, alopecia, irregular menstrual bleeding, pain, diarrhea, flatulence

DDI: Serious Cocaine cardiovascular & subjective effects are increased, Griseofulvin/Carbamazepine/Phenobarbital/Phenytoin reduce drug efficacy, Ciclosporin toxicity is enhanced

Diet: With/Without food

Monitor: LFT, TG, LDL, HDL, TG, blood glucose, signs of thromboembolic or thrombotic disorders
