Indications & Dose: HYPONATREMIA IV Adult Hypertonic solution (>0.9%) only used for the initial treatment of acute serious symptomatic hyponatremia or increased intracranial pressure in traumatic brain injury | NASAL DECONGESTANT NSL Adult 0.9% used as nasal drops | STERILE EYE IRRIGATION TP Adult 0.9% Solution is used for eye irrigation

Contra: Hypersensitivity, hypertonic uterus, hypernatremia, fluid retention

Precautions: HF, renal insufficiency, liver cirrhosis, HTN, edema, sodium toxicity

ADR: Serious: CHF, central pontine myelinolysis, extravasation, pulmonary edema, Others: Hypervolemia, dilution of serum electrolyte, overhydration, hypokalemia

DDI: Serious Lithium level increases

Monitor: Serum sodium, potassium, chloride & bicarbonate, fluid intake & output, weight
