Indications & Dose: PRIMARY IMMUNIZATION AGAINST HAEMOPHILUS INFLUENZA TYPE B IM Adult 1 dose of 0.5ml & booster dose is given between 12-18 month Child 6 wk–1yr: 3 doses each of 0.5ml, separated by 4–8 wk; >1yr: Same as adult dose

Contra: hypersensitivity, severely immunosuppressed children

Precautions: acute illness, neurological conditions, alcohol/disinfectant

ADR: Serious: lymphangitis, anaphylaxis, angioedema, erythema multiforme, influenza-like symptoms, arthralgia, myalgia, lymphadenopathy, hypersensitivity reactions, Guillain-barre syndrome, transient cyanosis, bronchospasm, Others: inflammation, redness, sterile abscess, GI disturbances, fever, headache, irritability, rash, urticaria, malaise, loss of appetite, fatigue, dizziness, paraesthesia, asthenia, drowsiness, pain
