Indications & Dose: DUODENAL ULCER PO Adult 20mg/day 4wk before breakfast | EROSIVE/ULCERATIVE GERD PO Adult 20mg OD 4-8 wk, if no response continue for 8 wk, MD 20mg OD Elderly Same as adult dose | GASTROESPHAGEAL REFLUX Symptomatic therapy PO Adult 20mg/day 4 wk, if no response continue for another 4 wk Child >12 yr: 20mg/day 8 wk | GI HYPERSECRETORY CONDITIONS PO Adult 60mg OD, may increase dose 100mg OD/60mg BID | H.PYLORI INFECT Combination therapy PO Adult 20mg BID 1 wk for 7 days with clarithromycin (500mg BID) & amoxicillin (1g) |
Contra: Hypersensitivity
Precautions: Hepatic/renal impairment, GI infection, osteoporosis ADR: Others: headache, constipation, flatulence, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, dizziness DDI: Serious Ketoconazole bioavailability reduces, Warfarin increases INR & PT, Digoxin level increases, Atazanavir reduces drug level Diet: Without food Monitor: Symptomatic response |
