Indications & Dose: UNSTABLE ANGINA/NON-ST-SEGMENT-ELEVATION MYOCARDIAL INFARCTION IV Adult Loading dose 0.4µg/kg/min up to 30min after diagnosis, followed by inf of 0.1µg/kg/min 1-2 days. PCI patients: Loading dose 0.4µg/kg/min up to 30min followed by continuous inf of 0.1µg/kg/min during angiography & for 12-24h after angiography/atherectomy |
Contra: Hypersensitivity, history of bleeding diathesis, history of intracranial hemorrhage, intracranial neoplasm, history of thrombocytopenia, history of hemorrhagic stroke, acute pericarditis, severe HTN
Precautions: percutaneous coronary intervention, platelet counts (<150, 000/mm3), hemorrhagic retinopathy, chronic dialysis patients, previous history of GI disease, renal impairment, elderly, recent thrombolytic therapy ADR: Serious: bleeding, coronary artery dissection, anaphylaxis, bradycardia, Others: edema, dizziness, vasovagal reaction, fever, headache, rash, nausea, diaphoresis, pelvic pain DDI: Serious Heparin/Enoxaparin increases risk of bleeding Monitor: Platelet count,vital signs,signs of unusual or excessive bleeding |
