Indications & Dose: INCONTINENCE PO Child 2-18 yr: 1mg/day max 2mg BID | NOCTURNAL ENURESIS ASSOCIATED WITH OVER ACTIVE BLADDER PO Child 5-18 yr: 1mg/day HS max 2mg BID | OVER ACTIVE BLADDER PO Adult IR tablet: 2mg BID may reduce dose to 1mg BID based on response & tolerability, ER capsule: 4mg/day, may reduce dose to 2mg BID based on response & tolerability Elderly Same as adult dose | URGENCY PO Child 2-18 yr: 1mg/day max 2mg BID | URINARY FREQUENCY PO Child 2-18 yr: 1mg/day max 2mg BID |
Contra: Hypersensitivity, uncontrolled narrow-angle glaucoma, urinary retention, gastric retention
Precautions: Bladder flow obstruction, GI obstructive disorders, hepatic/renal impairment, myasthenia gravis, glaucoma, patients with congenital QT prolongation ADR: Serious: arthralgia, QT prolongation, bradycardia, sinusitis, bronchitis, Others: dry mouth, dysuria, abnormal vision, headache, fatigue, dizziness, flu-like syndrome, infect, anxiety, dry eyes, somnolence DDI: Serious Procainamide/Amiodarone/Quinidine/Sotalol causes QT prolongation & torsade de pointes, Fluconazole/Erythromycin/HIV protease inhibitors/Ketoconazole/Miconazole increases drug level, Rivastigmine/Donepezil shows antagonistic effect with drug Diet: With food Monitor: LFT & renal function test (BUN, creatinine) |
