Indications & Dose: PREVENTION OF ACUTE GRAFT REJECTION IN RENAL TRANS IV Adult Initially 20mg 2h before transplantation, repeat after 4 days with other immunosuppressant (ciclosporin & corticosteroids/azathioprine or mycophenolate mofetil) Child <35 kg: 10mg 2h before transplantation; 10mg 4 days after surgery, >35 kg: 20mg 2h before transplantation, 20mg 4 days after surgeryGiven as bolus/infusion over 20-30min (diluted with 400µg/mL in Nacl 0.9% or glucose 5%) |
Contra: Hypersensitivity
Precautions: lymphoproliferative disorders, elderly ADR: Serious: hypersensitivity, capillary leak syndrome, cytokine release syndrome, HTN, peripheral edema, Increased TC level, UTI, tremor, viral infect, angina, arrhythmia, atrial fibrillation, chest pain, hypotension, HF, GI hemorrhage, blood disorder, abnormal vision, albuminuria, hematuria, bronchospasm, virus infect, Others: bronchitis, arthralgia, cramps, agitation, anxiety, malaise, rash, acidosis, gastroenteritis, dyspnea, anemia, abdominal pain, constipation, diarrhea, fever, headache, acne, nausea, vomiting, local reactions DDI: Serious Statins/Immunosuppressants increases risk of infect & malignancy Monitor: Signs & symptoms of acute rejection, hypersensitivity, infect |
