Indications & Dose: ALLERGIC CONDITIONS/URTICARIA PO Adult 4mg q4-6h, max 24mg/day Child 1-2yr: 1mg BID, 2-5 yr: 1mg q4-6h, max 6mg/day, 6-12 yr: 2mg q4-6h, max 12mg/day | SC Adult 10-20mg, max 40mg/day Child 87.5µg/kg QID |
Contra: Hypersensitivity, premature & newborns, narrow-angle glaucoma, prostate hypertrophy
Precautions: thyroid dysfunction, GU obstruction, respiratory disease, CVD, increased IOP, elderly, children ADR: Serious: exfoliative dermatitis, transient hypotension, pharyngitis, arthralgia, diplopia, Others: drowsiness, headache, excitability, fatigue, nervousness, dizziness, nausea, xerostomia, diarrhea, abdominal pain, weight gain, increased appetite DDI: Serious Amphetamine diminishes sedative effects, Alcohol enhance CNS depressant effects, CNS Depressants enhances CNS depressant effects Diet: With food/water Monitor: Respiratory status, urinary retention & frequency |
