Indications & Dose: MYDRIASIS & CYCLOPEGIA FOR REFRACTION TP Adult Instill 1-2 drops (solution 2%) or 1 drop (solution 5%) before therapy, may repeat at an interval of 5-10 min Child Instill (solution 2%) 1 drop before procedure, may repeat at an interval of 10 min as needed | UVEITIS TP Adult Solution (2%/5%): Instill 1-2 drops 2-3 times/day q3-4h as needed Child Solution 2%: Instill 1 drop 2-3 times/day |
| Contra: Myasthenia gravis, paralytic ileus, history of prostatic enlargement, angle closure glaucoma
Precautions: Tachycardia, HF, MI, diarrhea ADR: Serious: Transient bradycardia, arrhythmias, palpitations, arrhythmias, mydriasis, cycloplegia, Others: dry mouth, photophobia, reduced bronchial secretions, difficulty in swallowing & talking, flushing, difficulty in micturition, reduction in GI motility DDI: Serious Levodopa toxicity raises |
