Indications & Dose: THREATENED MISCARRIAGE PO Adult 5mg TID 5-7 days in progesterone deficient women |
| Contra: undiagnosed vaginal bleeding, history/current high risk of arterial disease, severe hepatic impairment, women with porphyria or breast/genital tract carcinoma
Precautions: HTN, cardiac/renal impairment, asthma, epilepsy, migraine, conditions aggravated by fluid retention, DM, depression, patients susceptible to thromboembolism ADR: Serious: anaphylaxis, jaundice fluid retention, edema, Others: changes in appetite/weight, acne, rashes, urticaria, mental depression, altered menstrual cycles/irregular menstrual bleeding, alteration in serum lipid profile/LFTs, gynecomastia, changes in libido, hirsutism, drowsiness/insomnia, headache, fever |
