Indications & Dose: PERENNIAL/SEASONAL ALLERGIC RHINITIS PO Adult 5-10mg OD, may be increase dose if needed Child 6-12 month: 2.5mg OD, 12 month-2 yr: 2.5mg OD, may increase to 2.5mg q12h, 2-5 yr: 5mg OD, >6 yr: 5-10mg OD Elderly Initially 5mg OD, may increase to 10mg/day | URTICARIA Chronic PO Adult 5-10mg OD, may be increase dose if needed Child 6-12 month: 2.5mg OD, 12 month-2 yr: 2.5mg OD, may increase to 2.5mg q12h, 2-5 yr: 5mg OD, >6 yr: 5-10mg OD Elderly Initially 5mg OD, may increase to 10mg/day |
Contra: Hypersensitivity
Precautions: Hepatic impairment, elderly, performing tasks which require mental alertness, Renal impairment (ClCr <11mL/min) ADR: Others: Headache, somnolence, insomnia, fatigue, malaise, dizziness, abdominal pain, dry mouth, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, epistaxis, pharyngitis, bronchospasm DDI: Serious Acenocoumarol anticoagulant effects reduced, Ritonavir increases drug levels, CNS Depressants results in additive CNS depression Diet: With/without food Monitor: Relief of symptoms, sedation & anticholinergic effects |
