Indications & Dose: MUSCLE SPASM ASSOCIATED WITH MUSCULOSKELETAL CONDITIONS Short-term symptomatic therapy PO Adult 250-350mg TID/QID 2-3 wk Elderly < 50% of adult dose |
Contra: Hypersensitivity, acute intermittent porphyria
Precautions: Renal/hepatic impairment, history of drug abuse/acute alcoholism, avoid prolonged use, patients with reduced function alleles of CYP2C19, elderly ADR: Serious: Anaphylactic shock, syncope, tachycardia, bronchospasm, abuse & addiction, Others: drowsiness, dizziness, headache, sedation, altered mental state, psychomotor impairment, transient quadriplegia DDI: Serious Opioids CNS depressant effects enhanced by drug Diet: With/without food Monitor: CNS effects, relief of pain & muscle spasm, signs of drug abuse in addiction-prone individuals |
