Indications & Dose: HIV INFECT Combination therapy PO Adult 800mg BID with ritonavir (100/200mg BID) | Mono therapy PO Adult 800mg TID Child Adolescents: 800mg TID |
Contra: Hypersensitivity, concurrent use of alfuzosin, alprazolam, amiodarone, cisapride, triazolam, midazolam, pimozide or ergot alkaloids, sildenafil
Precautions: Hemophilia A & B, DM, hepatic impairment, hepatitis B/C/cirrhosis ADR: Serious: ARF, angina, cerebrovascular disorder, hepatic failure, MI, interstitial nephritis, QT prolongation, SJS, Torsade de pointes, vasculitis, blood disorders, immune reconstitution syndrome, jaundice, arthralgia, crystalluria, dry skin, Others: alopecia, back pain, hyperpigmentation, paronychia, pharyngitis, pyelonephritis, pancreatitis, URI, urticaria, fatigue, diarrhea, anorexia, increased appetite, weakness, cough, Abdominal pain, nausea, hyperbilirubinemia, nephrolithiasis/urolithiasis, headache, dizziness, somnolence, fever, malaise, pruritus, rash, hyperglycemia, taste perversion, increased serum amylase DDI: Serious Atovaquone/Ascorbic Acid/Carbamazepine/Didanosine/Omeprazole/Phenytoin/Rifampicin/Venlafaxine decreases drug levels, Itraconazole/Interleukin-2/Ketoconazole increases drug levels, Ergotamine leads to ergotism, Paclitaxel leads to hematological toxicity, Phenylpropanolamine leads to hypertensive crisis, Risperidone leads to NMS, ataxia & severe lethargy, Levothyroxine levels decreases, Ciclosporin/Amlodipine/Diltiazem/Eletriptan/Propafenone/Vardenafil levels increases, Buspirone metabolism reduced Diet: Without food Monitor: Viral load, CD4 count, TGs, glucose, LFT, CBC, urinalysis |
