Indications & Dose: TESTICULAR CANCER IV Adult 1.2g/m2/day as inf over 30min to several h for 5 days q3wk |
Contra: Hypersensitivity, severe bone marrow depression
Precautions: Patients with compromised bone marrow reserve, renal impairment ADR: Serious: CNS toxicity/encephalopathy, myelosuppression, thrombocytopenia, leukopenia, hematuria, CRF, cardiotoxicity, nephrotoxicity, secondary neoplasms, liver dysfunction, Others: hyperpigmentation, allergic reaction, diarrhea, fanconi syndrome, fatigue, infect, drowsiness, confusion, ataxia, hallucinations, depressive psychosis, dizziness, phlebitis, metabolic acidosis, nausea/vomiting, fever DDI: Serious Warfarin effects increases, Phenytoin increases drug metabolism, Amphotericin-B increases risk of renal impairment, Cisplatin increases risk of renal toxicity, Rifampicin induces drug metabolism, Ketoconazole inhibits drug metabolism leads to decreases its efficacy, Irinotecan level reduced, Phenobarbital reduces drug levels Monitor: CBC, Hb, platelet count, urine output, urinalysis, LFTs, renal function tests |
