Indications & Dose: ACUTE PROMYELOCYTIC LEUKEMIA IV Adult Induction phase: 0.15mg/kg/day until bone marrow remission occurs, max 60 doses; Consolidation phase: 0.15mg/kg/day 25 doses over 5 wk, starting 3-6 wk after completion of induction phase Child >5 yr: Same as adult doseIn patients who have relapsed/are refractory to retinoid & anthracycline chemotherapy |
Contra: Hypersensitivity
Precautions: Renal/hepatic impairment ADR: Serious: Cardiac arrhythmias, prolongation of QT interval, tachycardia, hypokalemia, hypomagnesemia, vaginal hemorrhage, arthralgia, myalgia, torsade de pointes, leukocyte activation syndrome, blurred vision, renal failure, renal impairment, blood disorders, Others: cough, dyspnea, diaphoresis, herpes simplex, urticaria, hyperpigmentation, fecal incontinence, inj site edema, nasopharyngitis, sepsis, hemoptysis, eye irritation, GI disturbances, fatigue, fever, headache, insomnia, depression, anxiety, pruritus, erythema, dry skin, hyperglycemia, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal pain Monitor: CBC, ECG, electrolytes & coagulation at baseline |
