Indications & Dose: FALCIPARUM MALARIA Uncomplicated Combination therapy PO Adult 4mg/kg/day single dose 3 days with other anti-malarials Child 4mg/kg/day single dose 3 days with other anti-malarials | MALARIA Severe IV/IM Adult 2.4mg/kg repeated after 12 & 24h, then OD thereafter. Switch to oral therapy as soon as possible |
| Precautions: risk of recurrence if used alone in non-immune patients
ADR: Serious: prolongation of the QT interval, temporary suppression of reticulocyte response, ECG abnormalities, neutropenia, increased liver enzymes, Others: headache, nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, diarrhea, dizziness |
