Indications for Drugs ::
Peptic ulcer, Infantile colic, Upper GI bloating, Functional dyspepsia, Spastic or irritable colon
Drug Dose ::
Simethicone drops should be taken after meals and at bedtime or as directed by the physician. Children younger than 2 years of age: 20 mg (0.3 ml drops) 4 times daily up to 240 mg/day (3.6 ml drops). Children 2 to12 years of age: 40 mg (0.6 ml drops) 4 times daily. Adults and children older than 12 years of age: 40 to 80 mg (0.6 to 1.2 ml drops) 4 times daily up to 500 mg/day (7.5 ml drops).
Contraindication ::
There is no information about the contraindication of Simethicone.
Drug Precautions ::
More than 12 doses per day should not be used, except under the advice and supervision of a physician. Keep the medicine out of the reach of children.
