Indications & Dose: HYPERTENSION PO Adult 200-800mg/day in 2 divided doses | VENTRICULAR ARRHYTHMIAS PO Adult Initially 400mg/day in divided doses MD 600-1200mg/day in divided doses max 1.2g/day |
Contra: Bronchospasm/asthma, COPD, metabolic acidosis, prinzmetal’s angina, cardiogenic shock, hypotension, severe PAD, sinus bradycardia, second/third-degree AV block
Precautions: During drug withdrawal, first-degree AV block, pheochromocytoma ADR: Serious: shortness of breath & dyspnea, worsen cardiac disorders, pneumonitis, HF, heart block, bronchospasm, raynaud’s syndrome, blurred vision, hematological reactions, SLE, Others: nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, rash, coldness of extremities, headache, depression, dizziness, fatigue, myopathy DDI: Serious Glibenclamide/Chlorpropamide leads to hypoglycemia, Methoxyflurane/Cyclopropane/Trichloroethylene leads to myocardial depression Diet: With/without food Monitor: Blood glucose, BP, HR, CNS effects, ECG |
