Indications & Dose: MALARIA Severe IM Adult Loading dose 3.2mg/kg, followed by 1.6mg/kg/day thereafter. Switch to oral therapy as soon as possible Child > 6 month: Same as adult dose |
| ADR: Serious: cardiotoxicity, increased liver enzymes, Others: headache, nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, diarrhea, dizziness, tinnitus
DDI: Serious Ketoconazole increases drug level, Corticosteroids/Amphotericin-B/Loop diuretics/Thiazides increases risk of torsade de pointes |
