Indications & Dose: HIV TREATMENT IN NAIVE PATIENTS Combination therapy PO Adult 300mg OD with ritonavir 100mg OD Child 6-17 yr: 15-24 kg: 150mg OD with ritonavir 80mg OD, 25-31 kg: 200mg OD with ritonavir 100mg OD, 32-38 kg: 250mg OD with ritonavir 100mg OD >39 kg: 300mg OD with ritonavir 100mg OD | TREATMENT-EXPERIENCED HIV PATIENTS Combination therapy PO Adult 300mg OD with ritonavir 100mg OD Child >6 yr: 25-31kg: 200mg OD with ritonavir 100mg OD, 32-38 kg: 250mg OD with ritonavir 100mg OD, >39 kg: 300mg OD with ritonavir 100mg OD |
Contra: Hypersensitivity, severe hepatic impairment
Precautions: preexisting conduction abnormalities, drugs prolongs AV conduction, hepatitis, hemophilia A & B ADR: Serious: bilirubin elevation, Prolong PR interval, first-degree AV block, osteonecrosis, Others: lipodystrophy, metabolic abnormalities, elevated creatine phosphokinase, GI disturbances, headache, insomnia, peripheral neurological symptoms, asthenia, rashes DDI: Serious Ergotamine leads to ergotism Others Rifampicin bioavailability reduced, Didanosine decreases drug level, Hormonal Contraceptives increases ethinylestradiol levels, Macrolides levels increased, PPIs/H2RA reduces drug level Diet: With food Monitor: Viral load, CD4, serum glucose, LFTs, ECG |
