Indications & Dose: BEE STINGS/ INSECT BITES/ MINOR BURNS/ SUNBURN TP Adult 5%-20% of the preparation is applied to affected area TID/QID as needed. In case of bee stings, remove stinger before treatment Child > 2 yr: Same as adult dose | HEMORRHOIDS TP Adult 5%-20% of the preparation is apply externally to affected area up to 6 times/day Child > 12 yr: Same as adult dose | MOUTH/GUM IRRITATION TP Adult 10%-20% of the preparation (Gel/paste) is applied as a thin layer to affected area QID Child >2yr: Same as adult dose | OTIC INFECT TP Adult 20%: Instill 4-5 drops into external auditory canal, may repeat in 1-2h if needed | SORE THROAT PO Adult 1 lozenge (10-15mg) is dissolved slowly in mouth, may repeat q2h as needed Child >12 yr: Same as adult dose | TEETHING PAIN TP Child 7.5%-10% of the preparation is applied to affected area QID |
| Contra: hypersensitivity, ophthalmic use, secondary bacterial infection area, patients with low plasma-cholinesterase concentrations, should not inject into/applied to inflamed/infected tissues/to damaged skin/mucosa
Precautions: Complete heart block, elderly, children, epilepsy, impaired cardiac conduction, respiratory function, shock, hepatic impairment, myasthenia gravis, application of skin for prolonged periods/to extensive areas should be avoided ADR: Serious: edema, urticarial hypersensitivity, seizure, coma, irregular heart beat, respiratory depression, methemoglobinemia, Others: burning, contact dermatitis, erythema, pruritus, rash, stinging, tenderness Monitor: Monitor for methemoglobinemia |
