Indications & Dose: ALLERGIC REACTIONS Prophylactic therapy IV Adult 2mg/day | Acute IV/IM Adult 4mg/day | Prophylactic therapy IM Child 25µg/kg/day in 2 divided doses | HAY FEVER Symptomatic therapy PO Adult 1mg BID, increase up to 6mg/day if needed Child 1–3 yr: 250–500µg BID; 3–6yr: 500µg BID; 6–12 yr: 0.5–1mg BID | URTICARIA Symptomatic therapy PO Adult 1mg BID, increase up to 6mg/day if needed Child 1–3 yr: 250–500µg BID; 3–6yr: 500µg BID; 6–12 yr: 0.5–1mg BID |
Contra: Hypersensitivity, narrow-angle glaucoma, CVD, known/suspected prolongation of QT interval, hypokalemia/electrolyte imbalances
