Indications & Dose: HIV INFECT Combination therapy PO Adult 600mg OD with 2 other antiretrovirals Child 10 kg to <15 kg: 200mg OD, 15 kg to <20 kg: 250mg OD, 20 kg to <25 kg: 300mg OD, 25 kg to <32.5 kg: 350mg OD, 32.5 kg to <40 kg: 400mg OD, >40 kg: 600mg OD with 2 other antiretrovirals |
Contra: Hypersensitivity, concurrent use of bepridil, cisapride, midazolam, pimozide, triazolam, voriconazole or ergot alkaloids, moderate-to-severe hepatic impairment
Precautions: Mild hepatic impairment, history of seizures, strong CYP3A4 inhibitors, moderate/strong CYP3A4 inducers & major CYP3A4 substrates, history of psychiatric disorders ADR: Serious: Neutropenia, increased transaminases, HDL, triglycerides, Others: dizziness, insomnia, somnolence, pruritus, hallucinations, fatigue, nervousness, hyperglycemia, dyspepsia, abdominal pain, anorexia, cough, rash, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting DDI: Serious CCBs bioavailability decreased, Tacrolimus clearance increased, Carbamazepine decreases drug levels, Voriconazole increases drug levels, Ergot derivatives increases/decreases drug levels, Fluoxetine leads to serotonin syndrome, HIV protease inhibitors/Clarithromycin/Itraconazole/Sertraline levels reduced Diet: Before food (empty stomach) Monitor: Serum transaminases, cholesterol, triglycerides, signs & symptoms of infect |
