Indications & Dose: GOUT PO Adult Initially 40mg OD with NSAID or colchicine for 6 month to prevent gout flare upon initiation of therapy, may increase to 80mg OD in patient who do not achieve serum uric acid level <6mg/dL after 2 wk |
Contra: Concurrent use with azathioprine/mercaptopurine/theophylline
Precautions: Severe hepatic impairment ADR: Serious: LFT abnormalities, arthralgia, ECG abnormalities, angioedema, Others: renal insufficiency, Rash, altered urine output, vomiting, weight gain/loss, abdominal discomfort, alopecia, anemia Monitor: Signs & symptoms of MI, stroke, LFT, serum uric acid level |
