Indications & Dose: DENTAL PAIN Post-operative prophylaxis PO Adult 100mg q12h | DYSMENORRHEA PO Adult Initially 100mg then 50-100mg q4-6h, max 300mg/day | RECTAL Adult Initially 100mg then 50-100mg q4-6h, max 300mg/day | INTRA-OPERATIVE MIOSIS Prophylactic therapy TP General Instill 1 drop (0.03 %) q30min, beginning 2h prior to surgery (total of 4 drops in each affected eye) | OCULAR INFLAMMATION Post-operative prophylaxis TP Adult Instill 1 drop (0.03%) QID 1- 3 wk | OSTEOARTHRITIS PO Adult 200-300mg/day in 2-4 divided doses (max 100mg as single dose), max 300mg/day | PAIN & INFLAMMATION PO Adult 150-200mg/day in divided doses, may increase to 300mg/day in acute/severe conditions if needed | RHEUMATOID ARTHRITIS PO Adult 200-300mg/day in 2-4 divided doses (max 100mg as single dose), max 300mg/day | SORE THROAT PO Adult 8.75mg as lozenge q3-6h, max 5 lozenges/day 3 days |
Contra: Hypersensitivity, active PUD, severe HF, children with varicella, history of hypersensitivity reactions
Precautions: HTN, history of PUD, patients with infect, patients with hemorrhagic disorders, renal/hepatic impairment, elderly ADR: Serious: severe GI bleeding, nephrotoxicity, renal failure, hematuria, nephropathy, HF, hepatotoxicity, hypersensitivity reactions, aseptic meningitis, pancreatitis, tinnitus, fluid retention, pulmonary eosinophilia, Increased bleeding from ocular surgery, Others: delayed wound healing, local irritation, Ocular irritation, nausea, diarrhea, vertigo, nervousness, insomnia, rashes, photosensitivity DDI: Serious Fluconazole increased drug level, Coumarins increases risk of bleeding, NSAIDs increases risk of nephrotoxicity |
