Indications & Dose: BARTONELLA INFECT IV Adult 3mg/kg/day with other anti-infectives. Contra: Hypersensitivity, perforated tympanic membrane
Precautions: Avoid prolonged use, myasthenia gravis, parkinsonism, pre-existing renal insufficiency, vestibular impairment, hypocalcemia ADR: Serious: Neuromuscular blockade, neurotoxicity, nephrotoxicity, ototoxicity, hepatotoxicity, hepatic necrosis, hypersensitivity reactions, conjunctival edema, severe retinal ischemia, Others: dizziness, nystagmus, visual disturbances, photophobia, increased salivation, exfoliative dermatitis, urticaria, alopecia, hyperemia DDI: Serious Amphotericin-B decreases drug clearance, Neuromuscular blockers increases & prolongs neuromuscular blockade & leads to fatal respiratory depression, Cephalosporins increases nephrotoxic effects, Cisplatin increases renal toxicity, Ciclosporin increases risk of nephrotoxicity, Clindamycin leads to acute renal failure, Vit K/Sedatives/hypnotics leads to hypoprothrombinemia, Digoxin levels increase by drug Diet: Monitor: Urinalysis, urine output, BUN, SeCr, hearing should be test before, during, and after treatment |
