Indications & Dose: HIV INFECT Combination therapy PO Adult Lopinavir 400mg & ritonavir 100mg BID Child 6 month–13 yr: Lopinavir 225mg/m2 & ritonavir 56.25mg/m2 BID, or body weight 7–15 kg: Lopinavir 12mg/kg & ritonavir 3mg/kg BID, 15–40 kg: Lopinavir 10mg/kg & ritonavir 2.5mg/kg BID, >13 yr with body surface area >1.3 m2: Same as adult dose |
Contra: severe hepatic impairment, oral solution contains propylene glycol, hypersensitivity, QT/PR interval prolonging drugs, hypokalemia, congenital long QT syndrome
Precautions: chronic hepatitis B/C, hepatic/renal impairment, DM, drugs that prolong QT interval, history of pancreatitis, structural heart disease, pre-existing conduction system abnormalities, IHD, cardiomyopathies ADR: Serious: hepatic dysfunction, pancreatitis, myositis, rhabdomyolysis, SJS, hypersensitivity reactions, lipodystophy & metabolic effects, electrolyte disturbances, cholecystitis, HTN, MI, palpitation, vasculitis, edema, dyspnea, extrapyramidal effects, neuropathy, influenza-like syndrome, Cushing’s syndrome, hypothyroidism, menorrhagia, hypercalciuria, lactic acidosis, abnormal vision, otitis media, tinnitus, blood disorders, Others: GI disturbances, anorexia, dry mouth, mouth ulceration, sexual dysfunction, breast enlargement, cough, agitation, amnesia, depression, thrombophlebitis, appetite changes, taste disturbances, rash, sleep disturbances, fatigue, headache, dizziness, paresthesia, myalgia Diet: With food |
