Indications & Dose: DEPRESSION PO Adult Day 1: 12.5mg OD, day 2-3: 12.5mg BID, day 4-7: 25mg BID then 50mg BID thereafter |
| Contra: Uncontrolled narrow-angle glaucoma, within 2 wk of MAOI use
Precautions: Abrupt discontinuation, hepatic impairment, controlled narrow-angle glaucoma ADR: Serious: scrotal pain/testicular swelling, urinary retention, ARF, SJS, blurred vision, Others: rash, headache, insomnia, hot flashes, HTN, dizziness, vomiting DDI: Serious Clonidine action reduces, Noradrenaline/Adrenaline/Selegiline increases risk of hypertensive crisis in patients with cardiac arrhythmia, MAOIs/Lithium increases risk of serotonin syndrome Diet: With food Monitor: BP, HR, renal function test, IOP |
