Indications & Dose: ANDROGENETIC ALOPECIA TP Adult Men: Solution (2% or 5%): Apply 1mL to the total affected areas of scalp twice daily usually in morning & evening. Women: Apply 1mL solution (2% only) to the total affected areas of the scalp twice daily usually in the morning & evening. The total daily dose should not exceed 2mL, continue therapy for 4 month |
Contra: Hypersensitivity, pheochromocytoma, dissecting aortic aneurysm
Precautions: Recent MI, pulmonary HTN, angina pectoris, chronic HF, significant renal impairment, concurrent guanethidine therapy, not be applied to inflamed scalp skin/areas affected by psoriasis, severe sunburn/severe excoriations ADR: Serious: Reflex tachycardia, fluid retention, hypertrichosis, pericardial effusion, pericarditis, aggravate/uncover angina pectoris, polymenorrhea, allergic skin rashes, SJS, thrombocytopenia, Others: contact dermatitis, pruritus, local burning, flushing, changes in hair color/texture, headache, nausea, gynecomastia, breast tenderness DDI: Serious Ciclosporin causes excessive hairiness (hypertrichosis), Etoricoxib increases drug level, Guanethidine leads to excessive BP reductions, Dithranol/Corticosteroids/Soft paraffin/Tretinoin topical application increases absorption of the drug (topical) & potentiate hypotensive effects Diet: With food Monitor: Vital signs, ECG, daily weight and fluid intake& output, cardiovascular status, signs & symptomsof HF, hypertrichosis |
