Indications & Dose: HYPERTENSION IN PHEOCHROMOCYTOMA PO Adult Initially 10mg OD/BID, increased gradually according to the response to usual dose 1-2mg/kg/day in 2 divided doses Child 1 month–18 yr: 0.5–1mg/kg BID adjusted according to response | IV Adult Inf: 1mg/kg/day over 2h Child Inf: 1 month–18 yr: 0.5–1 mg/kg/day may be adjusted according to response up to 2mg/kg/day200 mL of 0.9% Nacl | SEVERE SHOCK IV Adult Inf: 1mg/kg/day over 2hin 200-500mL 0.9% Nacl | URINARY RETENTION DUE TO NEUROGENIC BLADDER PO Adult 10mg BID |
Contra: Porphyria
