Indications & Dose: BACTERIAL INFECT PO Adult 300mg/day in single/divided doses Child 5-8mg/kg/day, max 150mg BIDCaused by susceptible organisms |
Contra: Hypersensitivity
Precautions: hepatic impairment, history of arrhythmia, Predisposition to QT interval prolongation ADR: Serious: superinfection, hypersensitivity, SJS, TEN, cholestasis, hepatic dysfunction, tinnitus, agranulocytosis, pancreatitis, QT interval prolongation, arrhythmia, seizures, aggravate muscle weakness, Others: vertigo, thrombophlebitis, abdominal discomfort & cramp, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, confusion, hallucinations DDI: Serious Midazolam effects modestly increased, Digoxin levels increases, Carbamazepine toxicity increases Diet: Before food |
