Indications & Dose: CONSTIPATION PO Adult 5-10mg usually at bedtime Child 1 month-4 yrs: 250µg/kg, max 5mg, 4-10 yrs: 2.5-5mg, >10 yrs: 5-10mg |
Contra: with other laxatives, prolonged use, intestinal obstruction, appendicitis, severe dehydration, anal fissures, proctitis, ulcerated hemorrhoids
Precautions: inflammatory bowel disease ADR: Serious: angioedema, anaphylactoid reactions, proctitis/sloughing of epithelium, Others: colic/cramps, diarrhea, atonic non-functioning colon |
