Indications & Dose: ERECTILE DYSFUNCTION PO Adult 10mg for 30min before sexual intercourse, may increase to 20mg or decrease to 5mg if needed. Patients on ketoconazole/ritonavir-boosted HIV-protease inhibitors therapy should be given 10mg q72hr or 2.5mg on daily basis |
| Contra: Hypersensitivity, nitrates, other PDE-5 inhibitors
Precautions: hepatic/renal impairment, PVOD, PUD, penis deformation, bleeding disorders, CVD, erectile dysfunction, alpha-blockers, priapism, elderly ADR: Serious: HTN, GERD, myalgia, orthostatic hypotension, MI, syncope, tinnitus, vision loss, Others: flushing, headache, dyspepsia, back pain, RTI, flu-like syndrome, nasal congestion, UTI, abdominal pain DDI: Serious Nitrates causes serious hypotension/MI, Diltiazem/Clarithromycin/Erythromycin/Ketoconazole/Ritonavir/Vardenafil/Verapamil/Voriconazole increases drug level, Alprostadil increases risk of priapism, Doxazosin/Alcohol/Terazosin leads to postural hypotension, Sodium nitroprusside leads to severe hypotension, Ethinylestradiol levels are increased, Rifampicin reduces tadalafil level Diet: With/without food Monitor: BP, response & adverse effects |
