Indications & Dose: BENIGN PROSTATIC HYPERPLASIA Symptomatic therapy PO Adult MR: 400µg/day, may increase to 800µg/day after 2-4 wk if needed |
Contra: Hypersensitivity, severe hepatic impairment
Precautions: Prostate cancer, priapism, orthostatic hypotension/syncope, intraoperative floppy iris syndrome, antihypertensives ADR: Serious: orthostatic hypotension, ejaculation abnormalities, rhinitis, blurred vision, pharyngitis, sinusitis, libido decreased, somnolence, floppy iris syndrome, Others: dizziness, headache, malaise, diarrhea, nausea, gum pain, weakness, toothache DDI: Serious Verapamil increases adverse effects of drug, Erythromycin/Cimetidine/Fluoxetine/Ketoconazole increases drug levels Diet: After food (30 min) Monitor: Vital signs |
