Indications & Dose: BENIGN PROSTATIC HYPERPLASIA PO Adult Initially 1mg HS may increase to 10mg/day after several wk. If no response after 4-6 wk of 10mg/day then increase to 20mg/day | HYPERTENSION PO Adult Initially 1mg HS, slowly increase dose to achieve desired BP, MD 2-10mg/day max 20mg/day in single or 2 divided doses |

Precautions: Hepatic/renal impairment, elderly, angina ADR: Serious: edema, chest pain, dyspnea, floppy iris syndrome, orthostatic hypotension/syncope, priapism, blurred vision, tinnitus, Others: rash, dizziness, headache, nausea, constipation, diarrhea, vomiting, nasal congestion, epistaxis, dry mouth, urinary frequency & incontinence DDI: Serious ARBs/ACEIs/Diuretics exacerbates acute first-dose hypotension effect, Finasteride level is modestly increased Diet: With/without food Monitor: BP, urinary symptoms |
