Indications & Dose: ALLERGIC CONDITIONS/URTICARIA PO Adult 2.5mg q4-6h, max 10mg/day (self-medication) Child Under physicians supervision: 4 months-2 yr: 0.313mg q4-6h, max 1.25mg/day, 2-4yr: 0.625mg q4-6h, max 2.5mg/day, 4-6 yr: 0.938mg q4-6h, max 3.74mg/day. Self-medication: 6-12 yr: 1.25mg q4-6h, max 5mg/day. Do not discontinue if the symptoms persist for >1 wk or accompanied by fever, >12 yr: Same as adult dose | PRURITIC SKIN DISORDERS PO Adult 2.5mg QID |
Contra: Hypersensitivity
Precautions: Angle-closure glaucoma, urinary retention, prostatic hyperplasia/pyloroduodenal obstruction, should not drive/operate machinery ADR: Serious: Hypotension, CNS depression, tinnitus, tremor, Others: antimuscarinic effects, dizziness & incoordination, extrapyramidal effects, sleep disturbances, depression, confusion, hair loss, headache, psychomotor impairment, thickened respiratory-tract secretions, urinary difficulty/retention, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, epigastric pain, drowsiness DDI: Serious Alcohol detrimental effects increases by drug |
