Indications & Dose: BOOSTER IMMUNIZATION AGAINST DTP IM Adult 19-64yr: 0.5mL as single dose, an interval of at least 5yr between Primary & booster immunisation Child 11-18yr: Same as adult dose | PRIMARY IMMUNIZATION OF CHILDREN AGAINST DTP IM Child Infant from 6 wks: 3 doses each of 0.5 mL with an interval of not less than 4 wks between each dose; 1–6 yrs: 2 doses each of 0.5mL separated by an interval of 2 months, followed by a third dose after 6–12 months |
Contra: hypersensitivity, severely immunosuppressed children
Precautions: acute illness, neurological conditions, alcohol/disinfectant, patients with coagulation disorders ADR: Serious: lymphangitis, arthralgia, lymphadenopathy, hypersensitivity reactions, bronchospasm, angioedema, anaphylaxis, myalgia, influenza-like symptoms, Others: pain, inflammation, redness, sterile abscess, GI disturbances, malaise, irritability, fever, headache, loss of appetite, fatigue, dizziness, paresthesia, asthenia, drowsiness, rash, urticaria, nausea, vomiting DDI: Serious Immunosuppressants Reduces antibody response to vaccines |
