Indications & Dose: ACTIVE IMMUNIZATION AGAINST DISEASES CAUSED BY STREPTOCOCCUS PNEUMONIAE IM Child 6wks-6 months: 0.5mL/dose for a total of 4 doses. The primary infant series consists of three doses with the 1st dose given at 2 months of age and with an interval of at least 1 month between doses. The 1st dose may be given as 6wks of age and booster dose is recommended at least 6 months after the last primary dose at 15-18 months | ACTIVE IMMUNIZATION AGAINST OTITIS MEDIA CAUSED BY NON-TYPEABLE HAEMOPHILUS INFLUENZAE IM Child 6wks-6 months: 0.5mL/dose for a total of 4 doses. Contra: hypersensitivity to drug or any component of formulation
Precautions: history of any coagulation disorders or individuals with thrombocytopenia, not to be used to cure pneumococcal infections, not to be used to provide immunity against diptheria, tetanus, 23valent pneumococcal polysaccharide vaccine should be given = 2 years of age, children at high-risk for pneumococcal disease such as sickle cell disease, asplenia, HIV infection, chronic illness or who are immunocompromised ADR: Serious: apnea in very premature infants, injection site hematoma, hemorrhage and nodule, Others: allergic reactions such as allergic dermatitis, atopic dermatitis, eczema, irritability, crying abnormal, drowsiness, febrile and non-febrile convulsions, diarrhea, vomiting, rash, urticaria, redness, pain, swelling at injection site, fever, injection site induration DDI: Serious Immunosuppressants reduces antibody response to vaccines Monitor: For syncope =15 min following vaccination |
