Indications & Dose: EDEMA PO Adult Initially 40mg/day, subsequently reduce to 20mg/day | HYPERTENSION PO Adult 10 or 20mg/day as single morning dose, alone or combination with other antihypertensives |
Contra: Severe hepatic/renal impairment, addison’s disease, anuria, pre-existing hypercalcemia
Precautions: Elderly, hepatic cirrhosis, severe HF, renal impairment, gout, DM ADR: Serious: electrolyte imbalances, hypotension, hypersensitivity reactions, cholestatic jaundice, pancreatitis, intestinal ulceration, risk of developing gallstones, blood dyscrasias, seizures, Others: oliguria, GI disturbances, anorexia, nausea, vomiting, constipation, diarrhea, headache, photosensitivity reactions, paresthesia, impotence, dry mouth, thirst, weakness, lethargy, drowsiness, restlessness, muscle pain, cramps Monitor: Fluid & electrolyte imbalance |
