Indications & Dose: CISPLATIN INDUCED RENAL TOXICITY Prophylactic therapy IV Adult 740mg/m2 (if cisplatin dose <100 mg/m2) | CYTOPROTECTIVE Chemotherapy IV Adult 910mg/m2 as inf for 15 min OD before chemotherapy, then reduce to 740mg/m2 in patients unable to tolerate dose | XEROSTOMIA Prophylactic therapy IV General 200mg/m2 OD 3min (start 15-30 min before radiotherapy)Patient undergoing radiation therapy for head & neck cancer |
| Contra: Hypersensitivity, hypotension/dehydration
Precautions: Antihypertensive therapy ADR: Serious: hypotension, TEN, apnea, arrhythmia, anaphylactoid reactions, cardiac arrest, chest pain, MI, myocardial ischemia, respiratory arrest, SJS, tachycardia, urticaria, Others: hypocalcemia, vomiting, flushing, chills, somnolence, hiccups, sneezing, nausea DDI: Serious Eplerenone increase risk of hypotensive/ Postural hypotension Monitor: Arterial BP |
