ADR: Serious: Antibiotic-associated colitis, arthritis, serum sickness-like reactions, neurotoxicity, renal impairment, blood disorders, allergic reactions, abnormal liver function tests, erythema multiforme, TEN, Others: vomiting, headache, dizziness, fever, Diarrhea, nausea, rash, electrolyte disturbances, cholestatic hepatitis, pain & inflammation at Inj site

DDI: Serious Probenecid/Aminoglycosides significantly increases the risk of nephrotoxicity

Monitor: Renal function test periodically when used in combination with other nephrotoxic drugs, LFT, CBC, signs of anaphylaxis (first dose)
