Indications & Dose: IDIOPATHIC URTICARIA Chronic PO Adult 60mg BID or 180 mg OD Child 6 months to <2 yr: 15mg BID, 2-11 yr: 30mg BID, >12 yr: 60mg BID or 180 mg OD Elderly 60mg OD | SEASONAL ALLERGIC RHINITIS PO Adult 60mg BID or 180 mg OD Child 2-11 yr: 30mg BID, >12 yr: 60mg BID or 180 mg OD Elderly 60mg OD |
| Contra: Hypersensitivity, disintegrating tablet in children <6 yr
Precautions: Renal impairment, children <6 months, do not administer with fruit juices ADR: Others: Headache, otitis media, nausea, dyspepsia, dysmenorrhea, URTI, viral infect, drowsiness, fatigue, vomiting, dizziness, myalgia DDI: Serious Itraconazole increases drug level (wheal & flare reaction), Antacids modestly reduces drug levels, Ritonavir/Lopinavir/Verapamil raises drug levels Diet: Disintegrating tab: on empty stomach Monitor: Relief of symptoms |
