Indications & Dose: CHRONIC OBSTRUCTIVE PULMONARY DISEASE Inh Adult 150µg capsule inhaled OD, max 300µg/day |
| Contra: Asthma patients, in acutely deteriorating COPD, concomittant use with other long-acting beta2-agonists such as salmeterol/eformoterol, children < 18 yrs of age, to relieve of acute symptoms of COPD
Precautions: people who are unusually responsive to beta2-agonists, withdraw the drug if paradoxical bronchospasm occurs, CAD, acute MI, cardiac arrhythmias, hypertension ADR: Serious: atrial fibrillation, ventricular tachycardia, muscle spasms DDI: Serious Steroids/Non-potassium-sparing diuretics potentiates the hypokalemic effect, Sympathomimetics potentiates the systemic beta2-adrenergic effects, Other beta2-agonists prolongs the QT interval |
