Indications & Dose: ERECTILE DYSFUNCTION PO Adult 50mg 1h before sexual intercourse. Dose may be increased/ decreased depending on response max 100mg & should not be taken more than once in 24h Elderly 25mg |
| Contra: Hypersensitivity, concomitant drug therapy of nitroglycerin, isosorbide dinitrate
Precautions: retinitis pigmentosa, aortic stenosis/hypertrophic obstructive cardiomyopathy, pulmonary veno-occlusive disease, anatomical deformation of the penis, hypotension, uncontrolled hypertension, life-threatening arrhythmias, stroke/ MI, cardiac failure/ CAD ADR: Serious: cerebrovascular hemorrhage, pulmonary hemorrhage, rectal hemorrhage, postural hypotension, blurred vision, Others: headache, dyspepsia, flushing, epistaxis, insomnia, nasal congestion DDI: Serious Ritonavir causes fatal heart attack, Doxazosin causes postural hypotension, Erythromycin increases drug levels, Cocaine leads to acute aortic dissection, Isosorbide Dinitrate/Glyceryl Tri nitrate/Isosorbide Mononitrate/Sodium Nitropruside leads to serious hypotension Diet: With/without food (avoid high-fat meal) Monitor: Cardiovascular status, vision |
