Indications & Dose: SCURVY IV/IM/SC Child Treatment: 1 month–4 yr: 125–250mg/day, 4–12 yr: 250–500mg/day, 12–18 yr: 500mg–1g/day General Prevention: 25-75mg/day Treatment: >250mg/day in divided doses | URINARY ACIDIFICATION PO/IV/IM/SC Adult 4-12g/day in 3-4 divided doses Child 500mg q6-8h |

Precautions: G6PD deficiency, prolong /excessive use, hypersensitivity ADR: Serious: Hyperoxaluria, renal calcium oxalate calculi, Others: dizziness DDI: Serious Deferoxamine causes cardiac disorders, HRT increase estradiol level, Aluminum Hydroxide Gel leads to encephalopathy, Ciclosporin level is reduced, Amygdalin produces cyanide toxicity |
