ACTIONS AND USES –

 

• IT ACTS TOWARDS suppressing all the three doshas i.e. VATA, PITTA, KAFA DOSHAS.
• ITS external application acts as an analgesic, reduces oedema, cleanses and heals wounds.for this purpose its warm leaves are tied upon the wound.
• in eye problems its paste can be applied around the eyes.
• its decoction is used to cleanse wounds and as a mouth wash.
• its bark acts as a digestive and stomachic as also produces constipation hence, can be given in diarrhoea, vomitting and TRISHNA ROGA-( Acondition when uncontrollable thirst develops due to some neurological disorder)
• its fruits are heavy and increase the kafa dosha.
• it also suppresses bleeding.
• its roots act as diuretics, maintain the normal color of the blood and are urinary lithotrophics.
