Indications & Dose: BACTERIALCONJUNCTIVITIS TP Adult Instill 0.3% solution into affected eye | CYSTITIS Acute/Uncomplicated PO Adult 400mg OD 3days in women | SURGICAL INFECT Prophylactic therapy PO Adult 400mg single dose 1-6 h before the procedure | SUSCEPTIBLE INFECT PO Adult 400mg OD 10-14 daysincludes bronchitis due to Haemophilus influenzae or Moraxella catarrhalis |

Precautions: Patients with epilepsy/ history of CNS disorders, renal impairment, G6PD deficiency, myasthenia gravis, tendon damage, QT prolongation, electrolyte disturbances, bradycardia, pre-existing cardiac disease, avoid exposure to strong sunlight/sunlamps ADR: Serious: Pseudomembranous colitis, pancreatitis, hallucinations, psychotic reactions, depression, convulsions, hepatitis, eosinophilia, paresthesia, peripheral neuropathy, vasculitis, SJS, TEN, photosensitivity, ventricular arrhythmias, ARF, prolongation of QT interval, Others: nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal pain, dysphagia, dyspepsia, headache, dizziness, drowsiness, rash DDI: Serious Ferrous Sulphate/Antacids/Sucralfate reduces drug absorption Diet: 2h after food Monitor: CBC, renal & hepatic function (prolonged therapy) |
