Indications & Dose: HYPERTENSION PO Adult 200mcg OD, dose may be increase after 3wks to 400mcg/day as OD or in 2 divided doses, after a further 3 wks to max 600mcg/day in 2 divided doses |
Contra: Intermittent claudication or Raynaud’s disease, Parkinson’s disease, epilepsy, glaucoma, depression., not be used in conduction disorders, bradycardia, severe arrhythmias, severe HF, severe ischemic heart disease, severe hepatic/renal impairmen, history of angioedema
Precautions: withdraw gradually over 2wks ADR: Serious: fluid retention, Bradycardia, sinus bradycardia with AV block, ECG disturbances, HF, hallucinations, cramp, Raynaud’s syndrome, gynecomastia, impotence and loss of libido, Others: urinary retention/ incontinence, dry itching/burning sensations in eye, Drowsiness, dry mouth, dizziness, headache, constipation, depression, anxiety, fatigue, nausea, anorexia, parotid pain, sleep disturbances, vivid dreams DDI: Serious Benzodiazepines/Antihypertensives/Sedatives/hypnotics effect enhances |
